Very well done...

May I ask what music you were using? It was quite good...

Linked responds:

Make it Rain by Setu Firestorm. It's in the audio portal if you look.

Very well done, but...

...you should know that it freezes on the last frame and does not show a replay button; is this intentional?

ningaJanena responds:

no... I gotta fix that. sorry, thanks for letting me know though :)

I like!

Very nice! The pacing was right, and the voice acting was good. Only one question: what was the music playing in the end credits? It was nice, but I couldn't catch the name of it from the very credits it played over...

Uptown-SlimJim responds:

It's a remixed version of the moon level music from the Ducktales game on the NES. Found it on ocremix one day, I think humans were given ears because of that song.

Surprising

The graphics were average, and the animation was nonexistent. Surprisingly, however, I actually found the thing interesting; if I ever need to know more about oranges again, I'll just replay this video.

LollerCupcake responds:

Ksure.

A comment on the content....

I have no faults with the flash movie in and of itself; it is very well done. Nonetheless, I'd like to respond to the author's message, which I gathered is that the "Clock Crew" was wonderful, and has become a shadow of its former glory.
While I respect the author's opinion, the thought of attributing anything positive to the pointless drivel that was and is the content produced by the "Clock Crew" is enough to bring to table things better left in the stomach digesting.
The author's parry is that we, the patrons of Newgrounds, "take the Internet too seriously." I come to Newgrounds to find and watch well-made flash videos; as it us, we have to sort through a veritable Saxon horde of bad and/or careless animators. Why, in its presumption and arrogance, does the "Clock Crew" feel it is necessary to dump more raw sewage into the river we are panning for gold in? Why does the "Clock Crew" think that anyone would wish to watch random, repetitive, badly-drawn excrement? Even if they do not care whether they entertain or inspire anything resembling thought, why does the "Clock Crew" wish to infect every corner of Newgrounds with this insidious crap? Fie on thee.

AlbinoClock responds:

The art of it is more than the movie you watch. The art extends to your reaction to the movie, and the response of the author. Your not liking it doesn't make it not art. It's sociological art as well as animation.

Instead of seeking simply to entertain you, many clock films do one of three things, depending on the type of person you are. That is, they entertain, confuse, or annoy. They're designed this way.

As to why, it's fun.

Anyway, even though I believe much of what I said to be true, I also exaggerated it for the purpose of seeming to hate the Clock Crew. I don't hate the Clock Crew, quite the opposite, I'm a member of their website's staff.

God damn, this movie got some great reviews.

Odd....

I much a bit to say on this flash, both good and bad. The author, however, should not claim age as a plea for innocence. If you make a good production, it is a good production. If you make a crappy production, it is a crappy production. No merit nor exoneration (respectively) is due you for being a minor.
That said, the objective truth is the film is funny. The art is a bit sketchy, the animation is sparse (especially the click-through epilogue; if that was through author intention rather than limitation, I can guess at possible reasons for it), and the style is typical of other flash videos. In spite of its slightly marred appearance, the presentation is good and fast-paced, as is the music that accompanies it (an excellent piece).
The author's intention was, he claims, to make a funny video. In this he has succeeded. Sadly, vox populi vox dei, and the people say that art is essential for a medium.

BurningBunnies responds:

Yes, I no my age isn't an issue...
and what the heck r u on about at the end. Despite that, thanx for reviewing! :) **Burning Bunnies**

Morbid, but nonetheless good

Allow me to commend the author on very stylish and well-done art and animation. He has also taken the trouble to show character reaction to another character's actions (not so easy to find as one might think in flash movies). The pace is quick, and the author makes effective use of sound for the surprise effect, without overdoing it.
My one gripe is only my own personal distaste for sudden, random death; death by some manner of poison (as I'm assuming was in the needle jabbed mercilessly into the singing ball) is particularly disturbing when delivered in this fashion. If you ever go back and redo this cartoon for whatever reason, I offer this humble suggestion: maybe the tall character should drop-kick the ball character over the hill, only to have him return with his enraged compatriots.
All told, considerably better than many of the films I've seen.

Partoon responds:

Hey Aragorn5,
I really tried to save the ball and avoid killing it, but after hearing the song 5 times, it could do nothing but thinking about a tragic death. I'm sorry if that upset you...Thanks for the compliments btw!

Amazing, but true....

This flash, OF THE AUTHOR'S OWN ADMISSION, is utter and complete crap. And this, my friends, is why it is so funny.

FluffyDemonRat responds:

finally! someone who understands!
